I do not particularly like Second Life. I think it's a waste of time - especially when you mix it with work related activities. IBM, Sony, Sun, and Dell all embrace it - but I think Time explained this phenomenon very well when they wrote:
it's a case of some CEOs trying too hard to be hip
Anyway, we all know that Second Life is dying (LA Times - registration required)... So much for "the new Web"

I never liked Second Life either but when Scoble says it's the next big thing I guess everyone jumps at it. I wonder if it's really going to die though... I think it will be quieter for a while and come back up or something similar will take its place.
