Mixing Bjork with a Multi-Touch Computer

What do you get when you mix the Icelandic singer Bjork with a multi-touch computer? Well, unfortunately you get incredibly bad music. I mean the best place to hear it would probably be from a large concrete bunker some thirty-seven miles from the stage.

But, the technology is amazing - mixing real objects with the digital world. The technology is called Reactable and it is open-source visual mixing station that can be used on any multi-touch surface.

Here is how it works (looks good, sounds awful):

...and in case you are in a bunker thirty-seven miles away, here is a video of how it looks on a stage (again, remember to mute sound)...

I was wondering if I was the only one that had issues with the sound the Reactable made. Hopefully in version 2, the audio will be improved. As you say though, pretty amazing technology.
