Goldilocks - Bourne Ultimatum with an iPhone

Remember "Apple of My Eye," the amazing short movie created by Majek Pictures entirely on the new iPhone? Now, Anna and Michael are at it again with something even more impressive.

It's called Goldilocks, and it is a fast paced action spy thriller, very much in the style of The Bourne Ultimatum or maybe it's more like the TV show Alias. The story is about Jasmine (starring Jolene Kay), a former top level secret agent, who is forced back into the game after some international secrets falls into the wrong hands.

You can watch the eight webisodes online, or even better, get the iPhone app, where you can watch each episode, see photos, get notified etc. The first episode is out now (watch it below), the next seven will be released over the coming weeks (one per week).

As I wrote in the article about "Apple of My Eye," the amazing thing about this is that it is shot entirely on the iPhone. It just astounding how much you can do with it.

Of course, 90% of the visual feel is brought to life by the talent of Anna and Michael. I'm amazed by what they do. And, they are doing it with a camera that many of us carry in our pockets. It's just an iPhone, a couple of iPhone mounts + a staggering level of creativity.

Take a look at the behind the scenes footage. The part where Jasmine is forced into the back of the van, is just Michael trying to keep her in focus while jumping around erratically. It's brilliant.

This is what it is all about people. It's not about big budgets, movie sets, or expensive equipment. Those things are nice to have, but that's not where the magic happens. The magic happens when people have a good idea, a great story, and the willingness to do something about it.
