
Jeremy Epstein has written a book called "10 Ways to Cultivate your Community" for people in marketing. The "story" takes you through most of the essential steps every marketing person should know. From connecting your community, to motivating your fans, making them a part of the experience, increasing influence, establishing yourself as a curator of value, etc.
It is a great read with a lot of good examples and many interesting quotes and snippets. And it is only about 8,000 words, so you can read the whole thing in a couple of hours.
