This year's Le Mans is turning out to be absolutely exciting. It is rare to have a race that is this close throughout the entire 24 hours. The Audi is in the front, going strong with Tom Kristensen, but Peugeot is not giving up yet. The #7 Peugeot is only 1 lap behind.
Update: The #2 Audi just collided and spun on the track, and is currently heading back for the pit.

It seems like Peugeot has lost some of their breathtaking speeds that showed yesterday. They are currently lapping 3:27:438, which about the same speed as the #2 Audi. This means that Audi and Tom Kristensen have a real chance of winning his 8th Le Mans. But it is going to be extremely close.

It has started raining again, and that is something that is to the advantage of Audi.
In other news: The #8 Peugeot is not having a good race. Lots of problem throughout the race, and they just put it into the barrier. It wasn't seriously damaged though, but it still going to lose even more time changing pit.

They also managed to hit a something as unusual as a bird, and hat to pit to get the poor thing out of sidepod.
There have been a lot of small mistakes, spins and accidents around the track. #32 Zytek had a puncture that damaged part of the body. #35 Perscarolo and #90 Ferrari collided and the #1 Audi had a bit of a problem in the Ford chicane - just to name few.
