Well, a few people actually have the skills to create some that are really stunning. Apple has been doing a really good job with visualizations in iTunes, although nobody ever sees them (they are switched off by default).

A while ago Glenn Marshall turned these automated computer graphics into a work of art. Take a look at the music videos below. Every one of them is an entirely generative/audio reactive animation, i.e., no keyframing or manual input or editing.

Newspapers continue to struggle making their printed newspapers profitable (a loosing battle), but here is an idea. Why not turn it into a rather nice looking wall covering? This is probably the only pay wall that actually works!

Yesterday, Audi revealed their new Audi A7 Sportback. Audi is a master of subtle design (much like Apple), the new A7 isn’t drastic in any way, it’s design simple, yet it convey a very strong image. The only real change is the design of the back trunk.

There is something intriguing and very odd about combining water fixtures and lamps. I wrote about the rough looking lamp, made of steel pipes, a while ago, but now you can get a similar lamp in a more contemporary design.

The famous Hollywood sign in California was in deep trouble last month. Fox River Financial Resources, the company who owns it, wanted to divide that land up into five sites for $40 million luxury homes - effectively taking down the sign to make room.
