7Gods, a London based design firm, has created a number of really striking lamp. They are made by hand of mostly paper or veneer, and each one of them is a work of art. The latest light is this lamp called "Puku", which you can see below.
I am very interested in letting the material do the work, I always look for grain in materials, knowing this let me take advantage of how far I can push them. All the ideas for the design come form the materials itself, I spend a lot of time experimenting with different papers and materials, I keep everything simple, One the most important aspect of the design is organic form, because the materials can only bend or twist to what its capable of.- 7Gods
They are available in limited editions.

My grandfather used to make sucha lamps and even more beautiful in the 1980s in Poland. Hand made and high quality. He was an amateur and treated it as a hobby, I was a small kid then but I remember we had a few of them and a lot of people placed orders with my grandpa. I even tried some myself - they were very easy to make, although back then I was small and they were difficult for me ;-)
isn`t there any risk to get fire?
