I am not really into small cars, but there is something special about Toyota's new concept car - the Toyota IQ. But you know if I were ever to buy one of these it would need some special paintjob (or a wrap).
Something like this:

Jenny, I think it is going to be cheap compared to most cars (almost all small cars are very inexpensive to buy).
A custom paintjob is a bit expensive, but a car wrap (where the entire car is wrapped in vinyl graphics) is relatively cheap too. And it protects the original paint. When you one day decide to sell it, you can simply remove the wrap and the paintjob appears as the day you bought the car.
i think they call it IQ , so it can be a direct competitor to "smart"
they are already very similar in shape so i think the price will be close to the smart price........
but i can say that i like this one......
They have one or two of these in the Auto Salon in Odaiba, Tokyo. Cool idea. There is a larger car already in production here in Japan. I cant remember the name; it is just one kanji character. Anyway, cool shape. This is the same shape, just smaller. Toyota have some clever stuff going on at the moment.
It's like a 2-door Scion xD.
I am in the wrap business. We typically charge $15 sq.ft., less design time. This however depends on the difficulty of the substrates curves.
Some companies do it cheaper, however, cheaper wraps is not better. Design and installation are the key elements to a great looking wrap.

this is the Toyota IQ, it will be for sale in late 09 or early '10 for between $13-15 K. Will get... wait for it... 56 mpg. That's better than a Prius!, and seat four people, (3 adults and 1 child). Has 9 airbags and passed safety ratings spectacularly. Is not short on perks either, such as keyless start, ipod accessories etc.
Gonna get one immediately.
They may be sold under Toyota's youth brand of cars, Scion, when it hits this side of the pond.
