Audi A5/S5 Design Special

Audi's new A5 and S5 is, in my opinion, one of the best looking cars Audi has ever made.

Like all Audis it has an understated and classic design. It isn't a car for the petrolheads - it doesn't have to brag or show off. This isn't a car for Britney Spears.

The Audi A5/S5, and the people who drive it, already knows that they are beautiful - they already got success. They like who they are and don't have to tell everyone about it. If George Clooney was a car - I would imagine he would be this one.

But I am not going to talk about the car; I am instead going to give you a visual "Design Special" of the A5/S5 with concept art, videos with the Head of Design, the photo shooting and making the commercials - both in front and behind the scenes.

Exterior Design

You're right, that is a very sexy Audi - they've done exceptionally well.

The artist impression of the side view from the engine bay back, looks a little bit Aston Martin-ish. That certainly isn't a criticism, Aston Martin make some beautiful cars as well.

Beautiful car. The new B8 marks the dawning of a new direction for Audi. Great use of media on this website. I have to agree with Al on the "Aston Martin-ish" design. Picasso said it best- "good artists copy, great artists steal".

I think that looking at the A5, is looking at not only the way that current trends are influencing vehicles, but also at how simple and beautiful a car can be into the future.

In general terms, Audi is really taking it to the other manufacturers, and this car is another reason for Mercedes and BMW to sit up and take notice.

I truly agree that the Audi has come from a amazing design, for the coupe don't get me wrong has every coupe the back-end always cames out not to the topest point of the design.

I don't know if this only comes to my look of the design on the coupes
