This is probably the most expensive museum of modern art in the world, at least if you look at the production costs. And like many other architectural masterpieces this one is going to be located in Dubai.
It is also going to be the first museum featuring modern Middle Eastern art. And it will be a part of a 13 billion dollar cultural center in the district of Jadaf.
This is going to be a spectacular place, especially if the art inside is as beautiful as the building itself.

Carlos, that is a cool building - thanks for sharing!
OMG that is so beautiful. What an incredible piece of architecture. In the second photograph the building conjures up images of a speeding, hi-tech, futuristic, hydrodynamic catamaran tearing towards the photographer. Anyone know who the architect is?

it's by dutch architects UNStudio

If Dubai just spent half (or even a quarter) as much money helping the less fortunate people in the rest of the world as they would building all of these 'monumental' structures think of how much of a difference they could make!

crap....so ugly.

i agree, this building is fucking horrible. oh and "the building conjures up images of a speeding, hi-tech, futuristic, hydrodynamic catamaran tearing towards the photographer." thats the stupidest thing ive ever heard anyone say about a building.

love how there is absolutely no context in any of the renderings... further proof that Dubai is just cultivating horrendous architecture. Oh, and it looks like someone took the ship from Star Trek and decided to further morph it into some kind of one-eyed caterpillar thing.

Looks like an unfinished doomed spacecraft.
