RedBull Singapore 2008 - Virtual Track Video

Formula One is coming to Singapore next week, racing at the first time at night. And, Redbull decided to make something special out of it, so they came up with this amazing 3D virtual tour.

It is narrated by Mark Webber, and presented in a cool futuristic style. Taking the two Redbull cars through a high-speed race, with swooping camera movements and cool lighting effects.

The only problem is that the visual effects are so "distracting", that your brain never really listens to what Mark says about the track. But, damn... it looks good.

Singapore is another city (in common with Tokyo and some other places I think) that thinks its cool to build a copy of The London Eye. Does anyone else think that's rather sad? I mean, I've been on the London Eye and it's not that wonderful - it's just a Ferris wheel.

Beakdal! That was pretty amazing. I could feel my heart pumping faster just by watching it. Once, I had an Austrian boyfriend who taught me a bit about Formula 1 racing. Before that it had seemed like so much "a boy and his toy" kind of thing but since, I've learned better. Thank you for posting it.
